Where Is Your Name?
Luke 10:20 KJV
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
People are happy for various reasons, mostly for personal successes and triumphs. Others rejoice because of good health; for having good reputation and honor within their community; respect and tribute given are jealously guarded. Many also feel that all that matters is having incomparable wealth.
Some take pride in popularity and status.
There are others who glory in worshipful adoration of admirers. These type, mortal as they are, harbor smug satisfaction in being revered as gods and goddesses of the mass.
For good or bad, humans make it a habit to take joy in all the most base and temporary things of this world.
Revelation 21:27 KJV
“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
However, the Holy Scripture is quite clear in telling God’s people the one true thing we can fully rejoice in: our salvation. Namely, no pun intended, that our names are written in the Book Of Life.
Why is this significant? The answer is because this is our passport to Heaven, the Eternal Home of the Faithful and Just.
If your name is written, into Heaven you go. But if it’s not found in the Book Of Life, then the only other place for such a soul is the Eternal Lake of Fire.
I can’t imagine the horrors found in that burning sea, the desolation awaiting the lost souls. Please, make sure that your name is written in the Book Of Life, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today.
For, where is your name written? The only place which matters for it is in the Book Of Life.
