I have seen many sweet images, photos or pictures from everywhere before. This, right here, is one of the sweetest I have ever had the privilege of seeing. It is utterly precious.
Focus, if you would please, on the child.
Look at her kneeling there, praying.
How does this picture speak to you?
Cast aside your prejudice, unbelief, scepticism, even your natural tendency to make fun of or make light of everything. Now, ask yourself, why is she doing that? Why is she, literally a toddler if her size is anything to go by, kneeling in prayer?
Nobody’s forcing her. Assuming the woman in front of her is her mother, than the mother doesn’t seem to be fretting that her child do as the adults do. In fact, the mother seems to be serenely doing her thing while trusting that her child, for all intent and purposes, is in good hands.
The Praying Child
Matthew 18:10, KJV “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
I can only think that the child is in business. If it’s just her emulating the adult, than I think it would have shown. Kids follow, but they’re not subtle at it. They wouldn’t know how to be subtle about it. That’s what make them adorable. But than this whole image would have been cute, as opposed to being sweet, which in my book means something different.
When I first saw this picture, my thoughts were, “That is so sweet! She cares. She’s praying because she cares. She has good parents who are raising her to believe in God and to pray to God. That little girl has the soul and spirit to care for the state of others’ souls. For just that one moment, she is God’s child kneeling before her Heavenly Father and just talking with Him. That, is her moment with God. It is precious. She is blessed.”
Teach your child to pray. Don’t under-estimate their capabilities to communicate with the Father in Heaven.
