Proverbs 11:3 KJV
“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”
There is a saying, “Give them a rope long enough and they will hang themselves”. This saying means that their own wrong doings or words will incriminate themselves or be their own downfall.
It is the same with transgressors in that eventually their transgressions are the cause of their fall. These transgressions are also the evidence used to judge them by the Heavenly Father.
It is a tragedy that such souls delight in the perverseness, fullfilling their desires for such fleshly and hellish enjoyment, going against the Laws of the Living God in pursuing their own needs and wants. They think nothing about twisting and changing His Commandments to please themselves and each other.
The Long Rope
A few days ago, I was reading this news report concerning certain ‘faith leaders’ who came together to bless abortion and support the evil deeds of Planned Parenthood. See Faith Leaders ‘Bless’ Abortions
I was deeply horrified and saddened by such actions of these people who not only professed to be Christians, but are considered leaders in their particular congregations and denominations. I believe that they are transgressing against God’s Law.
No, I am not judging them -only God can do so. I am pointing the transgression they commit based on the Word of God concerning life and the creation thereof. This is their rope. Without repentance, it will ‘hang’ them.
However, our integrity is based significantly on The Word. It is to let it guide us, teach us, correct us, rebuke us, to fully equip us for the Work of The Lord. We cannot do truth without the Scripture to command us.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 KJV
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
