Be Grateful For What We Have

Colossians 3:15 KJV
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

“I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.” – Hellen Keller.

It is so inspirational that Miss Keller who was deaf and blind is teaching us to be grateful for what we do have, especially since there are many who do not have what we do have.

But we moan and whine and want more, not being grateful or appreciate the things we already have.

As The Holy Word says, be thankful. And when possible, be generous unto those who has less than us.

Here’s another reminder, check out Charlie Pride’s ever popular hit song, Be Grateful lyric :

Blind man can’t see flowers growing in the garden
Crippled man can’t walk places where he wants to go
Man that can’t talk things he will never say
And a man that can’t hear words he will never know

So if you can see and if you can walk
If you can hear and if you can talk
Then be grateful be grateful for what you’ve got
Cause for some folks these things would mean a lot

I once heard a man say all he wanted out of life was money
To be the richest man have wealth and fame untold
But he could see he could walk he could hear and he could talk
And for some folks this would mean much more than gold

So if you can see and if you can walk
If you can hear and if you can talk
Then be grateful be grateful for what you’ve got
Cause for some folks these things would mean a lot

So if you can see and if you can walk
If you can hear and if you can talk
Then be grateful be grateful for what you’ve got
Cause for some folks these things would mean a lot
Cause for some folks these things would mean a lot.

Amen. Always be grateful for the things which we have.
